Tom Pitlanish is a highly experienced program management leader with a distinguished career spanning over two decades in the automotive and manufacturing industries. With deep expertise in lean manufacturing, quality management, and operational analytics, Tom has successfully driven process improvements and strategic transformations across multiple organizations.
Currently, Tom is a Managing Partner at JET Performance Group LLC, a firm he co-founded to deliver rapid and sustainable manufacturing improvements. He achieves this through operational excellence and the integration of Industry 4.0 smart technology solutions. Under his leadership, JET Performance provides comprehensive consulting in lean manufacturing, quality assurance, and real-time data analytics, helping clients achieve significant bottom-line improvements.
Prior to JET Performance, Tom served as Vice President of Continuous Improvement at ABC Technologies, where he spearheaded initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency across global operations. He also held key leadership positions at AGG and Tower International, where he was responsible for program management, operational quality, and supplier integration across multiple facilities.
Tom's extensive experience includes leading major automotive programs for global manufacturers such as Ford, GM, Toyota, and Nissan. As Executive Director of Program Management at Tower International, he managed multimillion-dollar capital investments, oversaw cross-functional teams, and ensured the successful launch of high-profile vehicle programs, including the Ford Explorer and F-150.
Tom began his career as a Product Engineer at Daimler Chrysler, where he played a critical role in vehicle assembly engineering and quality control. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
